Farm Assistant (GWFA1117) – Te Awamutu area

We are currently seeking a Farm Assistant to join a dynamic team on a 500 cow operation.  This is a well set up farm with good infrastructure including a 26 aside herringbone shed.This role will provide great learning opportunities where you will be encouraged to take responsibility for your day to day activities, which will include milking/shed hygiene, animal health detection, tractor driving and general farm duties. We are seeking a “good all-rounder”.We are looking for someone who has a passion for the industry and who is prepared to work hard as part of a team.  You will also be known for your reliability and stable work history.  We are ideally seeking applicants with 1 year’s dairy experience or a relevant agricultural qualification; you must also possess good tractor driving skills.  We are supportive of employee development and a keenness to learn pasture management will be beneficial.  We have a good team environment, where everyone is focused on the farm goals but can also share a laugh.Salary negotiable on experience.
